A well-respected veteran of the movement, he understands the challenges of today’s community credit unions – and how to overcome those challenges. From strategic planning to microenterprise small business development, Scott knows how to get things done!
More than 25 years of credit union service
Scott delivers more than up-to-date industry best-practices. His credit union experience is hands-on, with positions that include VP of Marketing for a $240 million credit union, and VP of Operations/Compliance for a $100 million credit union. Scott also serves as a volunteer credit union board member.
Industry Trained and Educated
In addition to receiving a formal business education, Scott received valuable insight through his participation in specialized industry-related training such as CUNA Compliance (CUCE), Marketing, Lending, CCUE, Business Development Schools, and Management School. Scott was also a 2010 graduate of the NCUF Credit Union Development Educators (CUDE) program.

Scott is a community development expert, serving as Senior Consultant for CU Breakthrough, the consulting team of the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions. This rewarding work includes strategic planning, secondary capital applications, emerging market reviews, grant writing, and business planning for Low-Income Designated and CDFI credit unions.
Alison Carr, I-CUDE, CUDE, PHR
Alison currently serves as Senior Strategist/Consultant for Your Credit Union Partner. In this capacity she supports: Community Development & Outreach Initiatives, Business Development, Speaking/Training Engagements, Strategic Partnerships and serves as a general Goodwill Ambassador for Your Credit Union Partner
More than 20 years of Credit Union Experience
Ms. Carr’s experience includes work at the State and National Trade Association level, as well as natural person credit unions ranging is assets for $50 million to $500 million, working in areas of Business Development/Marketing, Community Development, Human Resources & Training. Most recently she served as Membership and Outreach Officer for the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.
Previously, Alison served as the Director of Learning Events for the Credit Union National Association, Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to joining CUNA, Ms. Carr was the Vice President of Corporate Development for Point West Credit Union in Portland, OR. While at Point West she provided oversight to the credit union's human resources and training functions, including employee recruitment, compensation, and employee relations, with an emphasis on staff training and development. Through the credit union she was actively involved with community outreach, developing partnerships with special emphasis on Hispanic and financial literacy initiatives.
Prior to working for Point West Credit Union, Alison was the Director of Education & Training for for the Credit Union Association of Oregon. She also served on the board of CUWA, a Portland based credit union professional organization and on the statewide steering committee for the Oregon Chapter of the National Jump$tart Coalition.
